Bond and seal in a single step
wedi 610 – maximum security with minimal processing time
An adhesive sealant that holds everything together: the wedi 610 not only bonds wedi elements together reliably, it also provides a 100% secure seal. This means that specialist craftsmen can complete two work steps in one and save processing time when building modular bathroom and wellness concepts.
The one-component wedi 610 adhesive sealant can be used in a variety of ways and is a fundamental product in the wedi sealing system: all products of the wedi range can thus be securely glued and sealed in a single step. For example, shower areas with shower partitions made of wedi building boards can be constructed within a very short time, much faster than walls made of aerated concrete. While conventional masonry can only be covered with tiles after 5 days, wedi walls can be tiled or covered with wedi Top Wall design surfaces after just one day.
Wide variety of applications
The wedi 610 can be used in a wide range of applications and applied to a wide variety of substrates, such as wood or metal for example. The substrate must be prepared beforehand: it must be firm, dry, stable and free of grease and dust. In order to achieve optimal adhesion to the substrate, the adhesive must be spread evenly onto the adhesive surface with pressure. It should always be applied with a minimum cured thickness of 2 mm, so that the joint has flexible properties. The wedi 610 enables the skilled craftsman to safely construct, bond and seal individual bathroom furniture made of wedi building boards such as washbasins, shelves or storage areas. Free-standing walls can also be created within a very short time with the use of wedi Sanwell wall elements, for example for the segregation of the shower. Design elements such as the wedi Sanoasa bench or corner seat can be safely installed in an existing shower with wedi 610 adhesive sealant.
wedi 610 – simply safe
The combination of wedi 610 with wedi building boards and wedi shower systems meets the general building authority test certificate (abP) for highly stressed areas and is therefore approved for use in saunas or other areas with high levels of moisture. The waterproof bonding offers maximum safety with minimum processing time hence saves time for the processor, since no further sealing is necessary. The wedi 610 is highly adhesive, water-resistant at an early stage and has excellent resistance to weathering and chemicals. In addition, it is solvent-, silicon- and PCP-free and has a low shrinkage. Its versatility and variety of properties make the wedi 610 an ideal material for wet room projects.
