The trend is towards colour accents in showers and bathrooms. Stylish details have a transformational effect on bathrooms. Inspired by the latest brassware trends, wedi takes its drain covers to the next level by introducing three new colours: metallic black, metallic rose gold, and metallic gold. At BAU 2023, which starts today in Munich, the wet room specialist will present them together with other new products.
The stainless steel brushed drain covers and channel frames are made for wedi Fundo floor-level shower elements and for the wedi Sanbath floating washbasin. The three new design variants are an ideal match to stylish collections of leading brassware manufacturers. Thanks to the high-quality PVD coating, the brushed surface structure is retained and a high level of colour brilliance is guaranteed over the long term.
Combined design of "trendy" and "timeless"
A particular challenge in bathroom design is the changing of colour trends over the years. "Just think about the wild colour frenzy of the 70s or the tedious Bahama-beige phase of the early 80s, for example," says product manager Vanessa Beer: "Our new metallic designs unite the current trend with a timeless colour scheme – black and gold tones have had a permanent place in the colour palette of interior design for many decades." The new covers will be available in stores from May, with channel frames following in June.
