The renowned trade media BaustoffMarkt and BaustoffWissen have awarded the product of the year title for the fourth time. wedi received the award in the interior design/floor category for its Top wall element in Pure White as an aesthetic wall design in the shower area.
Design surface in brilliant white
In order to award the Product of the Year, the independent, qualified jury evaluates the criteria of innovation, utility/added value, sustainability and marketing. The wedi Top Wall in Pure White scores particularly with its high utility value. The installation is very simple: compared to traditional tiles, the material is very light, can be easily applied to a wide variety of surfaces and silicone can be applied to its joints after just 2 hours. As a modern design element, the wedi Top Wall is also particularly easy to care for thanks to its large, grout-free format. In brilliant white, it is an eye-catcher in every bathroom. The element also scores when it comes to sustainability: the classic Pure White colour is made of of an acrylic resin-bonded mineral material, a by-product of iron production. The quality of the completely dyed-through, high-quality mineral composite material makes it resistant to mould and the antibacterial effect offers an added value by promoting hygiene in the bathroom. It is resistant to cleaning agents, 100% waterproof and of course, ensures utmost hygiene. In addition, the entire Top Line is VOC-classified, i.e. very low in emissions & harmless to health.
