Conditions of participation in the photo competition
1. Organiser and duration
1.1. The “wedi design competition 2025” competition takes place in the period from 1 October 2025 until 31 December 2025.
1.2. The organiser is wedi GmbH, Hollefeldstr. 51, 48282 Emsdetten, Germany, represented by Fabian Rechlin and Andreas Fürer, email: info@wedi.de, phone: +49 (0)2572 156 0 (hereinafter referred to as the “organiser”).
1.3. By participating in the competition, the participants accept these conditions of participation.
2. Eligibility for participation
2.1. Participation is free of charge and independent of the purchase of goods or services.
2.2. All natural persons aged 18 years and above, whose domicile is located in one of the six countries specified in section 6, are eligible to participate. In the event that participants have limited legal capacity, the consent of the legal representatives is required.
2.3. Employees of the organiser and affiliated companies as well as their relatives are not permitted to participate.
2.4. Participating multiple times is permitted; every uploaded photograph will be evaluated separately.
2.5. Each person may only win once in the entire competition.
3. Participation procedure
3.1. Participation exclusively takes place via the online form on the website [INSERT LINK].
3.2. Permissible file formats: JPG or PNG; maximum file size: 10 MB; minimum resolution: 2,000 x 1,500 pixels.
3.3. The photograph must be technically suitable for use in print and online media.
3.4. Participants will receive an email confirmation after successfully uploading the photograph and completing the participation form.
3.5. Entries submitted by email, post, social media or other means cannot be taken into consideration.
3.6. The organiser accepts no liability for technical problems that prevent punctual participation.
3.7. Liability on the part of the organiser for damages incurred in connection with participation in the competition is excluded. Exceptions are damages caused with intent or gross negligence. Should a breach of an essential contractual duty occur in a manner that jeopardises the achievement of the contractual purpose, liability is limited to the foreseeable average damage typical of the type of contract.
3.8. The organiser reserves the right to exclude participants from participation in the competition in the event of violations of the conditions of participation. The same applies in the event that participants engage in manipulation or use other dishonest means or attempt to influence the competition in another unfair manner.
4. Prizes and selection of the winners
4.1. Jury selection – The submitted photographs will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Use of wedi products
- Creativity of the design
- Compliant use/technical execution
- Overall impression and originality
A local jury comprising employees of the organiser will select a first-place, second-place and third-place winner. The decisions of the jury are final and cannot be disputed.
4.2. The following prizes are available:
- For first place: 1 waterproof action camera (GoPro HERO13 Black) as well as international presence and marketing of the winner as a reference on the wedi website and on social media
- For second and third place: in each case a wedi surprize package worth €50 as well as international presence and marketing of the winner as a reference on the wedi website and on social media
4.3. The winners will be notified by email within 20 workdays of the end of the competition.
4.4. If a winner fails to respond within 14 days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and a substitute winner selected.
4.5. Cash payment or assignment of the prize are excluded. Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
5. Rights of use
5.1. By uploading an entry, the participants give their assurance that they are the copyright holder of the submitted photograph and possess all necessary, unrestricted rights to the photograph and consent (particularly of persons depicted). In this process, they also give their assurance that the submitted photograph is free from third-party rights and that no personal rights of third parties are infringed.
5.2. The participants grant the organiser a free right of use, unrestricted in terms of time, region and content, to the submitted photograph.
5.3. In particular, the organiser may use the photographs worldwide in all media (print, online, social media, etc.), make them publicly accessible, edit them in compliance with the personal rights of the originator and grant sublicences thereto.
5.4. The participants release the organiser from all third-party claims, particularly from claims on the basis of copyright and personal right infringements, which arise from an infringement as a result of the contribution and/or are levied against the organiser in connection with the exercise of the aforementioned rights of use.
6. Regional scope
Eligibility for participation is limited to persons domiciled in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, United Kingdom

We process personal data exclusively for carrying out the competition (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) as well as for marketing purposes (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
The following types of data are processed: name, contact details, uploaded photograph and, where applicable, address for shipping the prize.
Your data will only be stored for as long as necessary for carrying out and completing the competition, plus any statutory retention periods.
Recipients of the data may include IT service providers and shipping companies.
You can assert the right to access, rectification, erasure, limitation of processing, objection, data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority at any time.
