Wedi employee Vanessa Beckmann spends most of her free time in, at and with water. She is active at DLRG Emsdetten as a lifeguard and swimming instructor, and since spring 2024 also as First Chairwoman – all on a voluntary basis, of course.

From apprentice to manager

The German spelling reform came into force straight away when Bastian Lohmann began his training as an industrial clerk at wedi in 1998. After his training, he remained in the field of application technology and customer training – also for customers from European countries. Today, he is Vice President of Sales & Marketing at wedi Corp. USA and has played a decisive role in the US business.

"I just wanted to stay six months"

Finally live in your own four walls: For Sebastian Lage, this was an important motivation in 2004 to apply for wedi as a production helper. He wanted to stay for half a year, but it has now become more than 20. Today's head of quality appreciates the collaboration at wedi, the atmosphere – and that he has been able to make his passion a unit of work.
