Supplier Code of Conduct
Selection and evaluation of our suppliers is not only based on economic criteria. Environmental protection, compliance with human rights, labor and social standards as well as anti-discrimination and anti-corruption policies are also taken into account at ARDEX. With our Supplier Code of Conduct, we work together to promote greater sustainability in the supply chain.
Awareness of our social responsibility is an integral part of ARDEX's corporate culture as a globally active family business. The ARDEX Group is therefore committed to lawful and socially and ethically responsible action.
The Group-wide Compliance Management System is therefore an important part of our business processes. It helps us achieve regulatory compliance in accordance with corporate policies and is an important confidence-building measure in relation to our business partners. In addition, the worldwide valid ARDEX Ethics Directive obliges all employees to act in a legally compliant and ethical manner. The Code of Conduct underlines the corporate values enshrined in the ARDEX Ethics Directive and creates a sustainable common basis for cooperation with ARDEX suppliers. ARDEX expects all suppliers to strictly comply with national and international laws in their business frame. ARDEX also expects to conduct itself in accordance with the principles set out in our Code of Conduct for suppliers. This includes in particular the obligation to anti-corruption, compliance with antitrust rules and socially and ethically flawless behavior.
Corruption is punishable and damages reputation and business integrity.
ARDEX also expects its suppliers to reject corruption and to be active in combating it and to express the commitment by signing the Code of Conduct.
The term "corruption" refers to any abuse of entrusted power for private benefit and benefit.
We and our contractual partners undertake not to offer, procure or demand any improper financial or other beneficial services. You may not agree to or accept them in order to obtain, maintain, regulate or secure commercial contractual, regulatory or personal advantages. This includes all financial or other advantages.
As a medium-sized family business, we are committed to our responsibility toward employees, customers and neighbors, the environment and society as a whole.
Similarly, ARDEX expects its suppliers to support the approach of sustainable development, to accept the principles set out in this supplier's Code of Conduct and to align their behavior accordingly. This means in particular:
Respect for human rights:
ARDEX and its contractors respect and acknowledge the human rights set out in the UN Declaration of Human Rights in all their business relationships.
Discrimination on grounds of race, ethnic origin, sex, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual identity shall not be tolerated. The freedom of association of the employees is accepted. According to the UN Global Compact, this includes the right of all workers to freely gather or group together to jointly defend their workers' rights.
Forced and child labor outlawed:
In doing so, ARDEX and its business partners undertake not to benefit from forced or child labor and to tolerate this in any business relationship.
Occupational health and safety:
It is expected that ARDEX and its business partners will comply with labor law requirements in all countries of their business activities.
This includes in particular adequate remuneration, which in any case reaches the respective statutory wage lower limit and the prohibition of excessive overtime.
It will be ensured that all local minimum health and safety requirements for employees are met. In addition, ARDEX is continuously working to improve health and safety measures for its employees by communicating occupational safety instructions, preventive training instructions and regular maintenance of technical equipment.
Environmental protection:
Ecology and economy are inseparable for ARDEX. ARDEX Products set high standards due to their yield. Investments in energy-efficient production facilities strengthen local business in the sales markets and secure jobs where products are sold.
This will promote the region's economy and reduce the burden on the environment. ARDEX also calls on its business partners to work in a resource-saving and environmentally conscious manner. ARDEX will therefore prefer to pursue long-term relationships with suppliers who are also committed to sustainable processes that protect the environment.
ARDEX expects its partners to comply with all national and international legal standards.
ARDEX strives for long-term relationships with suppliers that meet their social and social responsibilities. We therefore expect our suppliers to support the principles set out here. ARDEX may exercise the right to terminate or reduce business relations with suppliers who do not comply with the principles agreed herein.
