Toilet Drywall Installation (Screwed or Bonded)

wedi I-Board (1200 x 1245 x 20 mm) is a prepared mounting element for cladding toilet wall installations. With a width of 1200 mm, it can be

easily adapted to meet almost any individual requirements. Despite its low weight, it is extremely stable and resilient (up to 400 kg from a tile size of 10 x 10 cm). After installation, the installation panel can be directly tiled without further pre-treatment.
Especially for plaster and mosaic tiles: The wedi I-Board Plus combines all the advantages of the proven wedi I-Board and also has a factory-integrated reinforcement plate.

First, the wedi installation panel is cut to the required size with a utility knife.
A jigsaw is then used to cut the appropriate cut-out for the pusher.
Attach the wedi tools insulation plates to the drywall installation using quick-build screws (fastening material enclosed) using a cordless screwdriver. (Alternative to step 4b)
Attach the wedi I-board to the stud frame with wedi 610 adhesive and sealant. (Alternative to step 4a)
Now attach the previously cut strips of the wedi I-board to the top and sides with wedi 610 adhesive and sealant. Apply wedi tools self-adhesive reinforcement tape to all joints and connection areas.
The tiling of the installation panel can be done immediately after reinforcement without further pre-treatment.
Joints between wall and floor covering and the corner joints in wall coverings, must be constructed as movement joints.

I-Board Plus

Attach the wedi I-Board Plus to the stud frame using wedi 610 adhesive and sealant. (As an alternative to the previous step)
Now attach the previously cut strips of the wedi I-board plus to the top and sides with wedi 610 adhesive and sealant. Apply wedi tools self-adhesive reinforcement tape to all joints and connection areas.
The wedi I-Board Plus can be tiled directly after reinforcement without any additional surface preparation.
Joints between wall and floor covering and the corner joints in wall coverings, must be constructed as movement joints.
The wedi I-Board Plus can be plastered directly after arming without further pre-treatment.
