Wall application for wedi building board

When renovating old and worn-out rooms, the question often arises as to how to handle the old wall coverings, such as half-height tiled walls. The wedi building boards offer simple solutions. In most cases, building boards with thicknesses of 4 mm or 6 mm are used, as they can be flush-mounted on old tiles and this can create a clean, flat area.

If necessary, prime the substrates before starting processing and level out the cavities.
Apply and align the building boards with wedi 320 tile adhesive over the entire surface. The transition to the Tile is provided with wedi tools joint reinforcement tape.
For area A0, impacts and penetrations can also be sealed alternatively with wedi tools sealing tape and sealing slurries (e.g. wedi 520).
In wet areas, the joints can be sealed with wedi 610 adhesive and sealant. Then the joints have to be reinforced with wedi tools self-adhesive reinforcement tape.
It does not matter if the building boards are used only above the old tiles or ...
... are applied over the entire surface, and finally the tiling or the application of plaster is carried out.
