Sealing with wedi Subliner Dry & Flex

wedi Subliner Dry & Flex is sealing and decoupling in one. It is a flexible, crack-bridging sealing and decoupling membrane that, due to its special nonwoven lamination on both sides, offers optimum anchoring to tile laying materials and is ideally suited for rapid sealing measures at appointment construction sites in combination with ceramic tiles and slabs as well as natural stone coverings for indoor wall and floor surfaces. The special membrane provides

improved tension compensation when sudden temperature changes occur.

Line up wedi Subliner Dry and cut it with a cutter or scissors.
Comb wedi thin-bed mortar (wedi 320) with 4 or 6 mm teeth on the prepared surface.
Insert wedi Subliner Dry & Flex with the printed side facing up butt-to-butt and press it with a rubber roller or wooden board.
Remove any leaking mortar and air pockets. Avoid cross joints.
At the joints, cover the individual sheets with wedi sealing tape using wedi 520 cement-based waterproofing slurry to ensure a watertight bond. Press the impact area with a trowel or rubber roller.
Seal corner joints and floor connections with wedi sealing tape and cement-based waterproofing (wedi 520). Apply the sealing tape centered on the butt.
After the thin-bed mortar has hardened, the coating can be laid.
