Wall application for wedi building board

For extremely uneven walls, wedi building boards with a thickness of 20 mm or more are inserted. Regardless of how old and deteriorated the original substrates were, clean and flat walls are created that provide permanent protection from moisture and insulate the room.

Note for uneven surfaces

The mortar batches must not exceed the maximum layer thickness of the mortar.

Using a screwdriver, push 8 holes (or 5 per m2) into a wedi building board.
Then apply dabs of wedi 360 flexible medium-bed mortar according to the hole markings.
Gently tap the building board against the wall with a rubber mallet and align it. Next, drill holes through the board and the mortar dabs into the wall using an 8 mm drill bit.
Insert the wedi tools metal dowels through mortar dabs and pre-drilled holes but only drive them in fully once the mortar has hardened.
The minimum insertion depth of the dowel in the load-bearing surface must be 35 mm.
If there is too much unevenness in the subsurface, residual pieces of the building board can be used as a backing.
Apply wedi 320 tile adhesive to all building boards and insert wedi tools joint reinforcement tape. Then finish by designing the Surface as usual.
For area A0, joints and penetrations can also be sealed alternatively using wedi tools sealing tape and tile adhesive (e.g. wedi 320).
