Flush-to-floor shower systems

The wedi Fundo RioLigno Floor Element has been specially developed for inserting into old and new buildings with suspended timber floors. In the integrated execution shown here, the sealing to the adjacent wooden construction is carried out with the wedi Fundo sealing set and Subliner Dry & Flex.

Cut out the layer of wooden joist in the format of the Fundo RioLigno and remove the insulation material that loungers underneath.

Then make a mount for the Fundo RioLigno elements. For this purpose, wooden strips are screwed to the existing joist construction.

In the area of the drain pot, build a formwork (35 x 35 cm).

Now connect the drain body and fit the construction protection cover.

Mounts for the RioLigno elements are created using wooden boards that are screwed onto the slats.

Check the flow position of the wedi Fundo RioLigno elements and adjust the flow position if necessary.

Fill the recess with earth-damp screed.

Full-surface application of wedi 320 Tile Adhesive on the Bottom of the Shower Element.

Commit the elements for 12 hours.

Seal the joints and transitions to the wooden floor with the wedi Fundo sealing set. Recommendation: Complete wooden floor area should be sealed with wedi Dry & Flex.

Insert the shower insert, odor trap and drain grid. Cleaning of the siphon is possible at any time.

Alternative with Fundo drain-substructure element

Alternatively, the wedi Fundo drain-substructure element can also be used.
