Project information
With a limited construction height (max. 105 mm), a floor-level shower element (wedi Fundo Plano 1200x900x65 mm) was installed. The surface is almost barrier-free and has a minimum height offset (6–8 mm) to the door threshold.
Complete new installation of water and heating pipes, installation of a new bathtub, benches (Sanoasa 3), toilet with pretext and electricity preparation for shower toilet. The floor temperature control via PreLine ensures pleasant warmth.
A motion detector controls the LED light on the mirror cabinet. Existing solid floor coverings were retained to reduce construction rubble. The foldable shower enclosure allows flexible use in spite of a confined space with a sloping roof.

Refurbishment
Within the framework of the project, the refurbishment and renewal of the technical installations as well as individual sanitary facilities in the bathroom will be carried out. Part of the measure is the complete new installation of the hot and cold water pipes as well as the heating pipes from the respective transfer point in the room.
A new bathtub will also be installed. The "Sanoasa 3" bench with Top Surface is installed in the shower area. In addition, a new wall-mounted toilet with a new drywall installation will be installed. A suitable power cable was laid as a precaution for a possible subsequent retrofit of a shower toilet.
In the sense of a resource-conserving and economical construction, all components that are permanently connected to the subsurface – such as existing tiles and plaster – are retained, provided they do not show any damage. Quantities of construction waste can be significantly reduced and disposal costs minimized. The area loss caused by this procedure is minor and has no relevant influence on the use. Surface work can be carried out directly on existing, solid and undamaged surfaces.
Sanitation: Friedrich Brandt GmbH, Ohrnberger Str. 8.74670 Forchtenberg
Tiles: Master tiler Timo Stier, Rosenstraße 7, 74653 Künzelsau-Gaisbach
Electrical: Frank Dienst, Halberger Str. 9, 74679 Weißbach
The raw installation began with a day delay due to the fitters' illness. In addition, the tiler suffered three days of illness. In total, the construction schedule shifted by four days backwards. The demolition work as well as the underground preparation were carried out on two Saturdays. Under ideal conditions – with constantly available staff and rapid material provision – the measure could have been completed in just over three weeks. However, it should be noted that such drains depend heavily on the availability of tradesmen and the timely delivery of suitable materials. Market promises that a complete bathroom renovation can be carried out professionally and professionally within three to four days are not sustainable. The technically required drying times of the materials used as well as the coordinated work steps generally do not allow such a short execution time.
