wedi building boards have a blue core made from CFC-free extruded polystyrene rigid foam. This makes the wedi building board an ideal basis for any type of plaster and tile. wedi building boards can be applied to practically any substrate, they are waterproof, insulating, versatile, light and robust.
These large building boards stand out because of their distinctive width, of up to 1.20 metres. Despite their size, our XL and XXL building boards are light and easy to handle just like the classic wedi building boards. Big in Form. Bold in Quality. Easy in Every Way.
- The blue XPS core is 100% waterproof and remains fully functional even after accidental damage.
- abP*: building board butt joints can be bonded and 100% sealed in a single step by using wedi 610. Thanks to no further waterproofing being required, craftsmen benefit from increased security and a shorter tiling time.
- The cementitious coating provides and excellent surface for tile and the embedded fibre mesh also absorbs tensile forces.
- From 50mm thickness, wedi building boards are approved for use as a partition wall – they only need to be bonded on 2 sides, to the wall and floor without mechanical fixing being required.
- All building board systems have great heat insulation properties, save energy costs and provide long-lasting protection against mould.
